Daniel Kaye can be seen walking through the halls in the backstage area, he seems to be a little lost. With good reason of course, because he is walking through to back end of the building, searching for the man he will soon be interviewing. After another moment or two of searching Daniel stops and knocks on a particularly musty looking door. Upon hearing his permission Daniel enters the room, cameraman in tow. In the center of the dark, dusty room sitting on a bar stool is "The Demonic God" Shogun!
Daniel: Finally...I've been trying to find you for at least twenty minutes! Why on earth would you dress in this forgotten corner of the arena?
Shogun's eyes quickly meet Daniel's, cold, calculating and emotionless as they stare Daniel down. Hair slightly covering his face, Shogun is looking rather shabby in his old trenchcoat and plainish tights, however his eyes and face tell the story of the monster behind them.
Shogun: I have no need for distractions. People offer distractions in numbers if not dealt with. So instead of dealing with them I had mercy and found a place to be alone...does this bother you?
Shogun's eyes have obviously had at least a small effect on Daniel as he flounders out a quick apology while shaking his head.
Daniel: I-It's fine...I just wanted to get your opinions on your debut match tonight, and could you possibly tell me why you chose MCCW to come to after your time in Japan?
Shogun: You have done your research haven't you?...I had no idea that many people here would have any knowledge of my career outside of America, or even in America itself...I must say I am slightly impressed.
Shogun lets out a small, condescending chuckle, though his face and eyes never leave that emotionless state.
Shogun: I suppose I shall divulge you with the information you seek. Some men go to Japan as a place to hone their skills as wrestlers. I went to Japan to prove my skills on the world stage. After the fall of ULOL I felt rather lost and annoyed. Japan was the perfect place to take out my frustrations and, I must admit, learn what my true limits as a wrestler were.
Shogun: I was contacted with an offer from this company quite recently and felt that it was time to make my return to the states. Unfortunately I have been placed into a match with three weaklings...I might have pitied them at another point in my life, however my only emotion heading into this match is impatience.
Daniel looks at Shogun with a slightly shocked expression.
Daniel: B-But it's a four corners match as a debut against three very promising athletes! Are you seriously going to tell me that you aren't at least a little bit worried?!
Shogun smirks, a very cruel smirk in fact, full of meaning.
Shogun: Do you know what they Japanese began calling me before I left their country Daniel?
Daniel: No. Do tell...
Shogun's smirk widens a little bit, his cruel face becoming more visible as he looks directly into Daniel's face.
Shogun: Shinigami...The Reaper. Men stepped into the ring with me in one piece and left in many, their minds and bodies shattered by me. Eventually I earned that nickname for the merciless way I wrestled any opponent, regardless of experience.
Shogun:The Japanese did not come to my matches to watch a wrestling contest...they came to see a Shakespearean Tragedy take place in the ring!
Shogun begins to laugh, a loud, twisted laugh as Daniel backs away in slight disgust.
Shogun: I will be MCCW's Shinigami...the three poor fools who dare step into the ring with me had better be ready to give up their lives for the fight, because I have no intentions of spearing them. They step into the ring with a man who plans to completely dominate this federation, crush it beneath his boot heals! If these rookies think they will be able to stop a man who terrified the strongest willed wrestlers in the world they have a very rude awakening heading their way...
Shogun: I can't wait to see who will end up winning this federations world championship either. It makers me very happy to see mend fighting so hard to win a title that will only be with them for a very short time...This tournament is simply a battle to see who will be keeping the belt warm until I get my title shot.
Daniel backs himself to the door, obviously ready to be gone, however Shogun hails him before he can leave, eyes wide with cold pleasure as his discomfort.
Shogun: One last thing...The final reason for the nickname given to me by the Japanese...the wrestlers who meet me in the ring never forget my eyes. It's said that they haunt the dreams of my opponents for the rest of their careers! Thus the the fate of any who step into the ring with a God!
Shogun bursts out laughing as Daniel leaves the room, the horrible laughter goes on even after the screen goes dark with Daniel's departure.
