Venue: Elks Lodge, Queens, NY
Time: 2pm EST
[Strobe lights flood Elks Lodge as "Out Of My Way" blares throughout the arena. The crowd are going nuts as we see Harold Jenkins inside the ring with a microphone in hand. He holds his hand up showing his gratitude as the crowd finally hush and the music fades out.]
Harold Jenkins: Hello everybody and welcome to Master Class Championship Wrestling!!
[The crowd cheers loudly in response.]
Harold Jenkins: We are live in Queens, New York for what will be a great show! But right now, allow me to introduce to you my broadcast partner for this evening. Please welcome that Ol' Sonofabitch... WILLIAM FERGUSON!!
[The crowd are on their feet as William Ferguson appears on the stage wearing a suit and his trademark sunglasses. He looks into the crowd with a smile on his face before making his way to ringside. He climbs into the ring and shakes Harold's hand. They then leave the ring and head towards the announce table at ringside.]
Opening Event
vs vs
Reed Smith: Ladies and gentlemen, our opening contest is a triple threat match, scheduled for one fall, and the winner will compete in the World Championship Tournament Semi-Finals later this evening.
["Revolution" begins to play and Dynamo Crunch emerges from behind the curtains. He stands there and raises his arms up for a moment before pounding his fists together and makes his way towards the ring.]
Reed Smith: Introducing first, from Everett, Massachusetts. Weighing in tonight at two hundred and fifty one pounds, he is the Dragontamer... DYNAMO CRUNCH!!
Harold Jenkins: Hello everybody and thank you so much for tuning in for MCCW Crowning the Contenders! I'm Harold Jenkins and joining me in the broadcast booth tonight is Mister Murder himself, William Ferguson. Bill, it's a pleasure to have you here.
William Ferguson: It's a pleasure to be here Harry. I'm looking forward to watching the top guys in the sport today bash each other's brains out in the ring tonight!
Harold Jenkins: Well then let's get things started with our opening match! And what a match this ought to be as we see Dynamo Crunch making his way to the ring!
[He walks towards the ring, giving some high-fives to the fans on each side of the aisle, and slides under the bottom rope. Dynamo then goes over to the nearest turnbuckle, climbs up and raises his arms up again as the crowd roars in loud cheers. He then jumps off and awaits his opponents.]
Harold Jenkins: The Dragontamer looks determined to win this one tonight. He just came short in his match against Endri Salihi two weeks ago but now he as well as his opponents tonight will have a second chance to proceed to the championship tournament semi-finals later tonight.
William Ferguson: This kid deserves another shot if you ask me. He stood his ground against Salihi and took him to his limit. I really like this young gun, he's going to be big in the business one day!
Harold Jenkins: He might Billy, but before then he must deal with two equally impressive competitors, including this man...
["Gold Medalist" plays out across the arena as the lights slowly alternate from red and blue. After the track's short intro, Hunter Maverick steps out from behind the curtain wearing a sleeveless black trench coat with a dripping British flag design on the back. He walks to the end of the stage with his head down and his fists clenched at his sides. He stops and stands there for a moment then suddenly snaps his head up and his arms out to the side with his hands making the "devil horns". Hunter lowers his arms and makes a bee line for the ring.]
Reed Smith: And introducing his opponent, hailing from Blackpool, England. Weighing in tonight at two hundred and ten pounds, he is the Pride of Blackpool... HUNTER MAVERICK!!
William Ferguson: Here he comes, my favorite to win this fight! My fellow Englishman, Hunter Maverick! I really like this guy, he's disciplined, he is a tough cookie and he knows how to fight!
[Hunter runs and slides into the ring, standing up with a slap of the mat. He then leaps onto the second turnbuckle with his foot on the top rope. He repeats the pose from the stage and holds it for a few seconds before jumping down, taking off his coat and handing it to a ringside technician. He begins shadowboxing in his corner as Dynamo watches from his corner.]
Harold Jenkins: Hunter Maverick was disgraced in the ring after his match against Mikey Killswitch two weeks ago, so if he manages to win this match, you can bet that he will be looking for revenge.
William Ferguson: I hope he does. What that prick did was disgusting and I hope Hunter gets his hands on him again later tonight!
Harold Jenkins: Of course the winner of this match will go on later tonight to face Mikey in the tournament semi-final round, but if Hunter wants to exact his revenge, he must first overcome not only Dynamo Crunch, but also this man...
[As soon as the intro of his theme begins, the fans immediately jeer. Taufik steps out of the curtain looking at the fans in disgust, with Jamal Abdul right behind him, before spitting onto the floor signifying the 'dirty' soils in America. He makes his way to the ring while he and Jamal exchange words with the fans.]
Reed Smith: And introducing their opponent, accompanied to the ring by Jamal Abdul, and hailing from Singapore. Weighing in tonight at two hundred and fifty pounds, he is the Franchise... TAUFIK!!
William Ferguson: I may not agree with his style, and I certainly don't like that little wanker that follows him around, but Taufik is as tough as they come.
Harold Jenkins: Taufik looks like he is in a bad mood, and after losing his first match in MCCW to a rookie, who can blame him?
[When Taufik reaches the steps, he raises both of his hands high up while passionately chanting Allah before climbing the stairs and entering the ring as Jamal stays outside. Inside the ring he looks out to the fans in disdain before turning around to face his opponents who are ready to go.]
William Ferguson: These guys are itching to go! Ring the bell already!
[The bell rings and the three men circle each other in the ring. Suddenly Jamal tries to use his arm to trip up Dynamo from outside. Dynamo sees this and threatens to go after him until Taufik clubs him from behind, knocking him onto the mat. Hunter follows up by turning Taufik around and smacking him with a series of vicious right hands, forcing him into the corner. He kicks him in the gut before stepping towards the opposite corner. He bursts out of the corner but he is suddenly caught by Taufik and thrown with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex into the turnbuckle.]
Harold Jenkins: Ouch! Hunter hit hard on the turnbuckle there!
William Ferguson: And landing on the back of his head after the impact must not do any favors for him either!
[Clutching at his neck Hunter rolls onto the apron. Taufik then sees Dynamo Crunch charging off the ropes, but he misses the clothesline attempt and gets dropped with a neckbreaker slam. Dynamo tries to lock in a bow and arrow lock but Taufik manages to pull him off and follow up with an arm drag, transitioned into an armbar. Dynamo tries to break free, but Taufik wrenches the arm. Dynamo manages to climb back to his feet, but he gets knocked back down with another arm drag, this time followed up with a Goku-Raku Gatame.]
Harold Jenkins: The Dragontamer looks to be in serious agony here as Taufik wrenches the hold.
[Taufik is suddenly clubbed from behind by Hunter Maverick, forcing him to break the hold. He gives Taufik a stiff kick to the chest knocking him into the ropes. He attempts to Irish whip him but Taufik counters and whips Hunter into the opposite ropes instead, but as he bounces back Hunter nails him with the Sideswipe.]
William Ferguson: There's the Sideswipe early in the match! This one could be over early!
[Hunter attempts the pin, but Dynamo breaks it up.]
Harold Jenkins: No, Dynamo Crunch is there to make the save. Remember, this is not an elimination match. The first man to pick up a pinfall in this match will go on to face Mikey Killswitch later tonight! Only one of these men can go through!
[Dynamo lifts Hunter up, hooks his arms and hits him with a bridging tiger suplex. Hunter kicks out after two. Dynamo then lifts him up onto his shoulder, drops him face-first onto the turnbuckle with the snake eyes, dashes off the ropes and sends Hunter back to the mat with a vicious bicycle kick. He attempts another pin, but Hunter kicks out again.]
Harold Jenkins: An example of Dynamo's studies there. He was hit with that same move two weeks ago and now he has added it to his repertoire.
William Ferguson: We might see another new move right now Harry!
[Dynamo hooks Hunter looking for a vertical suplex, but Taufik clubs him from behind, grabs him in a waistlock and hits him with a bridging German suplex. But as the referee counts for the pin, Hunter jumps up and drives both feet into Taufik's exposed gut to break the bridge.]
William Ferguson: Oh man! He was wide open for that one!
[Taufik rolls out of the ring clutching at his gut as Hunter scoops Dynamo back to his feet and chops his chest. Hunter then knocks him down with a roundhouse kick to the side of the head before hooking the leg for another cover. Dynamo kicks out after two. Hunter then locks in a sleeper hold on his opponent.]
Harold Jenkins: Now the Pride of Blackpool is trying to put this young stud to sleep. Will the former GWA Showcase champion give in here?
William Ferguson: Unlikely, but if there's one man that can get the job done it has to be Hunter Maverick!
[Dynamo is about to pass out until Taufik finally slides back into the ring and tries to lock in May Allah Be With You on Hunter, who is forced to release his hold. Hunter manages to slip out of Taufik's grasp before he can cinch in the hold. He grabs the ankle and rolls Taufik onto his stomach looking for an anklelock, but Taufik manages to kick him off, sending him to the ropes. As Taufik climbs back to his feet Hunter charges, but he gets tripped up and finds himself trapped in a Sharpshooter by Taufik.]
Harold Jenkins: There's the Sharpshooter by Taufik, and now it's Hunter that's on the verge of tapping out!
[Taufik suddenly release his hold when Dynamo gets back up and locks an inverted facelock on him before lifting him over and dropping him with an Osaka Stunner.]
Harold Jenkins: No! The Dragontamer comes back in with the Dragon Stun Gun!
William Ferguson: Would you Adam and Eve it? This one's getting too hard to call!
Harold Jenkins: What did you just say? Adam and Eve it?
William Ferguson: That's cockney slang my son. Use your crust lad!
Harold Jenkins: Excuse me?
[As Taufik rolls onto the apron Dynamo scoops Hunter back to his feet before lifting him up and dropping him with the Book Of Dragons. He goes for the pin.]
Referee: One...Two...Th...
Harold Jenkins: Beautiful vertical suplex powerbomb by Dynamo, but it's not enough to get the win!
[Dynamo urges the crowd onto their feet as he locks in a double underhook on Hunter, calling for the Dragon Spike Bomb, but Hunter puts on the brakes. He squirms out of the hold and kicks Dynamo in the gut before hitting him with Blurry Vision. Dynamo does not fall back though, instead he turns around and gets met with the Surprise!!!]
Harold Jenkins: Wow! Blurry Vision from Hunter, followed by a tremendous superkick by Taufik out of nowhere! The Dragontamer might be out of it here!
[Taufik dives on Dynamo for a cover, but Hunter immediately pulls him off. Hunter pins him himself, but Taufik pulls him off. The two stand up and stare at each other intensely before exchanging strong fists to each other. Hunter gets the upper hand as he steps back preparing for the Jaw Jacker, but Taufik dodges it and counters with a TaufikPlex. He goes for a pin, but Hunter manages to stretch his foot onto the bottom rope to cancel the count. Taufik looks frustrated as he drags Hunter into position. He begins to ascend the turnbuckle looking for a moonsault, but Hunter follows him looking for a super back suplex. Taufik manages to elbow him in the head, knocking him back onto the mat. He dives off and hits him with the diving moonsault. Taufik gets back up clutching at his gut before being lifted onto Dynamo's shoulder and being dropped down with the Dragon's Roar.]
William Ferguson: Inverted front powerslam from Dynamo Crunch!
Harold Jenkins: He calls it the Dragon's Roar, and listen to these fans getting behind him. He is on fire right now!
[With Taufik lying on his back on the mat, Dynamo ascends the opposite turnbuckle before getting caught by Hunter, who follows him up to the top, looking to launch him overhead with a super belly-to-belly suplex. Instead Dynamo fights him off, using his forearm to smash him down. Hunter tumbles off the turnbuckle and lands hard on top of Taufik. Dynamo seizes the opportunity and dives and hits his two piled opponents with the Dragon Swipe senton bomb. He rolls Hunter off and pins Taufik.]
Harold Jenkins: The Dragon Swipe on both of his opponents at the same time! And he goes to cover Taufik...
Referee: One...Two...Three!!
William Ferguson: That's it! He got him!
Reed Smith: Here is your winner, and advancing to the World championship tournament semi-finals later tonight... DYNAMO CRUNCH!!
[Dynamo raises his fists triumphantly as the fans give him a standing ovation. Dynamo climbs the turnbuckle and celebrates as Taufik rolls out of the ring and heads up the ramp with Jamal Abdul by his side. Dynamo then jumps off later, only to be met by Hunter Maverick, who is standing with a defeated look on his face. He offers to shake his hand, and Dynamo replies. After a quick embrace Hunter holds Dynamo's hand up in victory as he tells him "Beat Mikey for me, kid."]
Harold Jenkins: Great showing of respect by these two men, this is what MCCW is all about. And did you hear what Hunter just said to the victor?
William Ferguson: I heard it, and let me tell you. This Dynamo Crunch has been very impressive tonight, and that momentum could lead him to victory again later on tonight!
Harold Jenkins: Will he be able to pull off a double header here tonight? Stay tuned to find out!
[The camera fades in to see Cami Paige, sitting at a makeshift vanity in what appears to look like a high school locker room. She's wearing a bright pink baby t-shirt and jeans. She's alone in the room. She's brushing her hair with a soft bristle brush with a smirk on her face. She looks down when her phone, bright pink with a Hello Kitty symbol on the top, suddenly springs to life on the counter beside her. Her eyebrows furrow when she doesn't recognize the number but picks it up anyway.]
Cami Paige: Hello?
??: Hello... I'm glad you answered.
Cami Paige: Who is this?
??: We haven't had the pleasure of meeting in person just yet but I'm sure you have heard a lot about me as I have you.
[Cami cocks her head to one side as she listens.]
Cami Paige: So tell me who you are silly.
[The man on the other end laughs before answering.]
??: I'm getting to that. I think we have some similar views on things. I would be interested in maybe aligning myself with you...
Cami Paige: Hey if your talking about a manager I'm not into that. I came here to wrestle just like everyone else.
[Another laugh.]
??: Oh no my dear, although being by my side when I come out as I you would be part of the arrangement...however I wouldn't dream of hindering such a great talent. How about we meet back in your dressing room, right before you go out tonight. I can further discuss my idea.
Cami Paige: Well okay but just know if your some weird creepy stalker dude, I do know how to defend myself. I'm not some cheap slut that you can take advantage of.
??: No, I didn't think you were. I wouldn't have contacted you if I thought that...
Cami Paige: Okay, guess I'll see you then.
[The caller hangs up. Cami looks at her phone a moment, shrugs and sets it back on the counter. She picks up the brush and starts to brush again.]
Cami Paige: Now where was I? Right... 76...77...
[As the opening riff of "John the Fisherman" echoes across the arena, John Fisherman reveals himself on the stage, wearing his ring attire. He simply stares into the crowd in disdain before making his way down the ramp.
Reed Smith: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome at this time... JOHN FISHERMAN!!
Harold Jenkins: We're back after an explosive opening contest folks, as well as an unusual phone call for one of our young stars who'll be making her debut later tonight and, well he is scheduled for a match tonight, but John Fisherman is making his way to the ring a little early. Maybe we will all have the pleasure to once again listen to him speak...
William Ferguson: Typical wanker loves the sound of his own voice!
[At ringside, John stares for a brief moment at a random member of the crowd and shakes his head in disgust. He climbs the stairs and enters the ring through the ropes. Inside the ring and demands Reed Smith to hand over his microphone. He obliges and John stands in the middle of the ring with the microphone at hand as the music stops.]
John Fisherman: Ladies and gentlemen, you are looking at the greatest face to ever grace the wrestling race. But last time most of you peasants saw me, I was sent out of the ring by that pitiful excuse of an owner and his little Canadian friend. But what you idiots did not see was what I did after the show. You see, no one messes with the king of the world, and that Scott Kenneth loser had what was coming to him. I left him in a pool of his own blood!
[The crowd boos as he soaks it in.]
John Fisherman: There's one thing that Shane Young does not understand and that is respect, and when he and his little buddy threw me out of the ring, I needed to teach him a lesson in respect. You see Shane, Scott's blood is on your hands. You disrespect your king, and there will be terrible consequences. You are not the boss of me. No one is. I am your king and you will bow down along with every one of these maggots and worship me as the true king of the world!!
[The crowd pops as Scott Kenneth, with a bandage wrapped around his head, immediately marches to the ring, glaring intensely at Fisherman.]
Harold Jenkins: And here comes Scott Kenneth, still sporting the wounds from his assault two weeks ago.
William Ferguson: Hope he kicks the piss right out of him!
[He hops over the top rope and gets into the face of Fisherman. The two stare down each other as Scott holds a microphone up to his mouth.]
Scott Kenneth: John, you are not a king. You are a coward. You want to give Shane Young a lesson in respect? I want to kick your head clean off your fucking shoulders!!
[The crowd cheers as Fisherman clenches his fists.]
John Fisherman: Who the hell do you think you are? Getting into my face like you're some kind of big shot. Do you know who I am? I am the epitome of talent! I am the king of the world! You will show me respect or I will do the same thing that I did to you two weeks ago!
Scott Kenneth: Shut up! No more talking! I want a piece of you right now!
[Suddenly referee Lenny Brannon rushes into the ring and separates the two, prepared for their match.]
Scott Kenneth: Ring the damn bell!
Match 2
vs
Harold Jenkins: There's the bell, and here we go! A premature start to our next contest!
William Ferguson: About time they rung the bell, this is going to be one hell of a fight!
[Both men throw their microphones out of the ring before John charges towards Scott viciously clubbing him down to the mat. John then viciously stomps on Scott's shoulder before being forced to back away by the referee. This gives Scott the opportunity to jump back to his feet and hammer John with several kicks to the side of the leg. He whips John against the ropes and connects with a Spinning Heel Kick as he bounces back. Stunned by the shot, John immediately slides under the bottom rope and out of the ring, rubbing the side of his face. Suddenly Scott darts off the ropes and launches himself through the ropes and flies towards his opponent, crashing over the guard rail. The crowd goes bananas as Scott stumbles back to his feet, apologizing to the fans he just landed on and hops onto the rail where the crowd begins a chant of "SCOTT! SCOTT! SCOTT!"]
Harold Jenkins: Oh my! An explosive suicide dive from Scott Kenneth, and the momentum carried him into the front row!
William Ferguson: This is what wrestling is about! Letting it all hang out and putting it all on the line to get the job done! I love it!
[Scott jumps off the rail and throws John back into the ring. He waits until he gets to his knees before hitting him with a stiff kick to the chest, followed by a second. But then John ducks under an early Buzzsaw Kick attempt and, as Scott spins back around, he nails him with a lariat. He goes for a quick cover but he kicks out shortly after two. Immediately John locks in an armbar on his opponent, but Scott manages to kick him in the head and free himself. He stands up and chops John in the chest, knocking him into the corner. He follows up with two more chops before stepping towards the opposite corner. He charges, but John gets his boot up just in time. Scott steps back holding his jaw, and John capitalizes with a pendulum backbreaker followed by another pin attempt. Scott kicks out after two.]
Harold Jenkins: Back and forth action here, but I think Fisherman is getting the better of the exchange right now.
William Ferguson: Just wait. Scott Kenneth will come back fighting!
[John pulls Scott back to his feet and drops him back down with a front powerslam followed by a chin lock. He rakes the eyes as the referee turns away from him. He repeats this until the referee finally catches him and tells him to release the hold. John is furious with the referee, but regardless he lifts Scott up and drops him again this time with a hangman's neckbreaker. He pins, but Scott kicks out after two. John responds by locking in a bridging scissored armbar.]
Harold Jenkins: Looks like Scott is having a hard time fighting this one off.
William Ferguson: I'll admit it, John is definitely taking it to him. Scott Kenneth needs to dig down deep to come back in this fight.
[Scott eventually manages to pull himself towards the rope, forcing Fisherman to release the hold. As he releases the hold he gives a cheap stomp to his opponent, causing the referee to tell him off. John simply ignores him and pulls Scott back into the middle of the ring, where he drops his knee across his shoulder. He then lifts Scott to a seated position where he locks in a kneeling cobra clutch.]
Harold Jenkins: Fisherman is complete control of this one right now.
William Ferguson: Hang on a tick...
[The fans urge Scott to fight out of the hold. With the hold still applied he manages to climb back to his feet, but before he can break free John pulls him away and twists him into a short-arm lariat. He hooks the leg for the pin but Scott kicks out after two. John strokes his chin contemplating what to do next until he pulls him to his feet and hooks him in a front facelock, looking for the brainbuster. But as he lifts him up Scott drops a knee to his head, forcing John to drop him back onto his feet where he bounces off the ropes and connects with a spinning crescent kick.]
Harold Jenkins: And suddenly Scott Kenneth is back in the fight!
William Ferguson: About time!
[John springs back to his feet but so does Scott who hits him back down to the mat with a standing dropkick. John stumbles back to his feet in the corner but he is trapped as Scott gives him several vicious shoot kicks to the chest. Scott steps back pumping his fist as the crowd rallies behind him. He charges towards his opponent. John tries to dodge but Scott stops himself from hitting the turnbuckle and waits for John to turn back around before hitting him with the Shuffle Sidekick.]
Harold Jenkins: Ouch! A vicious superkick by Kenneth, and he goes for the pin! One...Two...
William Ferguson: No, that's the rookie's mistake. His opponent was far too close to the ropes.
Harold Jenkins: A mistake on the part of Scott Kenneth, this match could have been over with that lethal kick!
[Scott pulls John back to his feet and locks in the double underhook, signaling for the Michinoku Driver. But John puts on the brakes. He frees himself and hits him in the gut with a strong knee before following up with a slap across the side of the head, dropping him onto one knee. John follows up by bouncing off the ropes and connecting with a running knee to the side of his head, knocking him onto the mat, but John continues to run and bounce off the opposite ropes before nailing him with a jumping knee drop.]
Harold Jenkins: What a combination by John Fisherman! And here's the cover!
Referee: One...Two...Thr...
William Ferguson: No! It's gonna take a lot more than that to keep Scott Kenneth down!
Harold Jenkins: You just have to wonder how many more of those shots can the young star take...
William Ferguson: You can say the exact same thing about Blondie here!
[John waits for his opponent to get up before dropping him back down with a half nelson bulldog. Oblivious to the jeers from the crowd John springs back to his feet with a confident smile on his face and begins a reeling motion, waiting for his opponent to finally stumble back to his feet.]
Harold Jenkins: Looks like Fisherman is reeling him in for the fisherman suplex...
[John hooks him looking for the fisherman suplex, but Scott prevents it and instead trips his legs up and locks in a Cloverleaf.]
William Ferguson: No, Scott locks in the Cloverleaf! This is the move that made Taufik tap out two weeks ago!
[It takes some effort but John finally reaches the bottom rope forcing Scott to release the hold. Scott is exhausted as he makes his way towards the nearest turnbuckle and begins climbing. However he is caught as John suddenly gets back up and slaps him across the face, perching him on top of the turnbuckle. John seizes the opportunity and nails him with the Anchor Cutter.]
Harold Jenkins: Anchor Cutter! That's gotta be it!
William Ferguson: But he's not going for the pin...
[Instead John drags his unconscious opponent by the ankle into the middle of the ring where he locks in his new submission hold, the King of Pain. Scott screams in pain until he finally taps out.]
Harold Jenkins: That's it, there's the bell! John Fisherman pulls out the victory with his new signature move!
William Ferguson: Yeah, but he's not letting go...
[John refuses to release the hold. Scott passes out from the pain as the referee tries to force John to release it. Eventually a few more officials rush into the ring to try and pull him off. John finally releases the hold, but the damage has already been done. The officials attend to Scott as John steps out of the ring with a deranged look in his eyes, but he is far from done. He pulls out a steel chain from under the ring apron and wraps it around his fist before sliding back into the ring.]
Harold Jenkins: Come on, enough's enough. There's no need for this!
[The referees try to stop him but John threatens them with the chain, backing them away. As the referees helplessly watch, John drops to his knees and begins smacking the steel chain wrapped around his fist into the forehead of the already unconscious Scott Kenneth. Scott draws blood as John continues smacking him in the head.]
Harold Jenkins: Would someone please stop this? This is brutal!
William Ferguson: I agree, I like a good fight but this is just uncalled for!
[Finally John stops and stands back up looking down at his bloody victim. He drops the blood-covered chain onto the mat by Scott's head. As the officials finally swarm back into the ring and attend to Scott, John gives a cold stare to the crowd. A smirk creeps onto his face as he steps out of the ring and exits through the crowd ignoring the jeers from the fans.]
