MCCW's debut show Premature Beginnings concluded with Shane Young and Shawn Stevens standing their ground in the ring when John Fisherman tried to invade. After the show went off the air however, a frustrated John Fisherman went backstage and viciously assaulted Shane's protégé Scott Kenneth leaving him in a pool of his own blood. Scott Kenneth was sent to the local hospital immediately after the attack.
Scott woke up a few hours later in hospital where he refused to press charges against John Fisherman for the attack. Instead, he has dropped his spot in the MCCW World championship tournament semi-finals and has issued a challenge to John Fisherman for a match at MCCW's next show, Crowning the Contenders. Scott is now back home and will be fit to compete by next week.
In response, MCCW owner Shane Young has booked the match between Scott Kenneth and John Fisherman, and now at MCCW Crowning the Champions, Taufik, Dynamo Crunch and Hunter Maverick will compete in a triple threat match, where the winner will go on to face Mikey Killswitch in the semi-finals on the same night.
