OOC: Sorry for the short RP, major case of procrastination going on with the match writing (among other personal things) and had to squeeze this one out.
[Scott Kenneth is walking out of a hospital in Queens, New York, with a duffelbag over his shoulder. He had just been checked out after being suffering a concussion and having several stitches in his forehead. His head is still wrapped with a thick bandage that hides the scars and bruises of his last attack. As he steps through the automatic doors and into the parking lot he is talking on his cellphone.]
Scott Kenneth: Listen Shane, don't worry about it. It's my bad, I was so hyped up for retribution, I just got a little hot-headed for a moment. Someone ought to shut that jackass up once and for all.
...
Scott Kenneth: I know, and if there's one guy that can put that idiot in his place it's you, I know you can.
...
Scott Kenneth: I didn't see it but I heard about what happened. Believe me Shane, if you don't get the job done, then I will!
...
Scott Kenneth: Yeah I know...
...
Scott Kenneth: It's alright, I know what I'm doing...
...
Scott Kenneth: No, not yet. I gave up my spot in that tournament so I could finish off that jackass, and that's exactly what I'm going to do...
...
Scott Kenneth: Yeah, if you can do it that is. Hope you kick his head off!
...
Scott Kenneth: Yeah I heard. Apparently she took out three other guys in her debut...
...
Scott Kenneth: Don't worry about it, I know not to underestimate her. You did teach me that remember?
...
Scott Kenneth: Alright I will. Bye.
[He hangs up the phone as he steps into his car. The next scene opens with Scott Kenneth in his training gear sitting on a bench in a dark gymnasium looking down on the cold floor. He still has a bandage wrapped around his head as he begins to speak.]
Scott Kenneth: Ever since I broke into this business, I've had person after person shoot me down. I've always looked at them as nothing more than mere obstacles in my path. But never have I faced an obstacle like I have now. I have several stitches in my head and I still haven't recovered from my concussion. I don't even think I'll be a hundred percent for my match at Inception, my first appearance at a pay-per-view event, and all thanks to a man who has been using me as a way to get into the head of my mentor, the owner and founder of MCCW. And why? Because he is insecure, he wants everyone else to believe what he believes, and when nobody believes the ramblings of this delusional jackass, he throws a tantrum. You may have beaten me at Crowning the Contenders, but believe me John, this isn't over. You see, what I've learned from my mentor is that redemption comes before glory, and that is why I gave up my spot in the championship tournament, and despite what my mentor says, that is why I refuse his offer for a free championship match, because I want redemption, and even if I'm beaten to my last breath, trust me John, I will have my revenge.
[He leans back and faces the camera.]
Scott Kenneth: But despite this personal quest of my own, there's another obstacle that I must pass first. This so-called princess has been prancing around calling herself the best in MCCW. Well I'm going to admit it right now. What you did to those three guys was impressive, you made them look like fools. But the problem is that you're just as delusional as fishy boy if you think that MCCW will be your kingdom. To be on top in this business, it's gonna take more than batting your eyelids and flirting with the competition to reach the top. There's another name for someone like you but I'm not going to go there because I'm sure you've heard it a few times in your life. But that aside, I'm not someone who's going to let gender be a factor in a match. If you want to reach the top in this business, you're going to have to deal with someone that is oblivious to your...advances, and that's exactly what you'll be facing at Inception. I didn't become a professional wrestler to let people like you sleep their way to the top. People like you are a disgrace, and people like you disgust me. You want to prove that you are the best? Then leave the nail biting and hair twirling in the back because I'll be taking you dead seriously in the ring at Inception.
[The scene fades out with Scott leaping off the bench and out of the camera's view to resume his training.]
