It is the twenty seventh of December, two days after Christmas. The scene opens to an exterior shot of the Rose Garden. The skies are gray and shrouded with clouds, indicating the cold season. There is a cue outside the building, all anticipating this week's edition of Millennium Pro Wrestling. Amongst the crowd we see Daniel Kaye with a microphone in hand searching through the sea of people with a cameraman following behind him.
"Are you sure he's here?"
"That's what I heard. His agent said he was going to scout his competition..."
Suddenly he catches a glimpse from a distance.
"There. There he is. Follow me Chuck."
Daniel swims through the crowd as the cameraman follows behind him, until finally he approaches a familiar face in the cue, wearing his street clothes. Daniel taps his shoulder. He turns around with a perturbed look on his face. You could not tell because of his sunglasses but he was not prepared for the media tonight.
"Endri Salihi! Endri Salihi, so the rumors were true. We were told that you'd be in attendance for tonight's episode of Thursday Night Takedown so you could scout your next opponent in Master Class Championship Wrestling. But what are you expecting in tonight's show?"
He points the microphone up to his face. Endri lets out a sigh away from the microphone before facing Daniel again.
"I'm sorry, my English is no good. But I've come here to find out what is the big deal. In your first show I destroyed that Dynamo Crunch joke, perhaps even scaring him back to school with his tail between his legs, but my next opponent is already a World champion. Johnny Clash, the champion of Millennium Pro Wrestling! So I've come here tonight to check him out in his home turf, to find out if being the champion of Millennium Pro Wrestling actually means something. And to answer your question, I do not expect much."
He turns away from the camera and ignores Daniel's attempts to regain his attention.
"Uhh...thank you Endri. Umm...enjoy the show, and I hope you had a happy Christmas..."
Daniel turns back to the camera and admits defeat, but before he leaves he calls the cameraman to follow him out of the cue. As they do Daniel discusses a plan with him. He decides to enter the crowd himself so he can spy on Endri Salihi. He manages to sneak a hidden camera as he pays for a ticket at the door. He swerves through the fans in search for the Albanian Dream until he catches him near the front row. He decides to sit a clear distance from him, far enough so he can't be noticed, and in a good angle for the hidden camera in his jacket sleeve to capture footage of Endri's facial reactions. He is clearly bored during the dark match before the show.
*Yawn*
Finally the show begins. Fake snow falls from the rafters as Jingle Bells plays around the arena. A fake snowflake falls on Endri's head. With a disturbed look on his face he wipes it off and shakes his head. After the pyro a rather stunning woman walks onto the stage to introduce an individual known as Santa Clash. This was clearly Johnny Clash, the very man Endri Salihi is supposed to be scouting, but as Johnny walks onto the stage in a Santa suit and sits in his chair as he invites the woman to sit on his lap, Endri is gobsmacked. He is clearly embarrassed for him, but then as Johnny starts making out with the woman, he drops his head into his hands, with an expression as if to say "What am I doing here?"
"He doesn't seem to be enjoying the show very much. Can't imagine why..."
Then two rather strange men prance to the stage and suddenly tangle Johnny Clash in Christmas lights and roll him down the ramp. This at least put a small grin on Endri's face, but not enough to convince anyone that he is actually enjoying himself. He sits through the opening match, followed by a fat man in a wheelchair running his mouth in the ring. He then watches a rather large woman complaining alongside a scrawny man who looks like the woman's teenage son, followed by what he believed to be a dull tag team match. As the Holiday cage match begins, Endri walks out for the lavatory. He returns just in time to see Johnny Clash finally defend his title. He watches, almost bored out of his mind as Johnny reverses the decision of the match and steals the victory. As his music hits and the bell rings Endri is the first out of his seat and out of the building. He has seen enough.
"That's it. He's on the move. Time to catch up to him..."
Daniel is in hot pursuit, switching off his hidden camera and putting it back in his pocket. He then pulls out his cellphone and makes a quick call.
"Chuck, he's on his way. He's coming towards you."
Night has fallen. Suddenly the cameraman emerges from outside the building. There we see Endri Salihi walking out with a disgruntled look on his face. He notices the cameraman approaching him and lets out an annoyed sigh.
"Again? Për hir të qij! Have you been following me all night?"
Daniel Kaye suddenly appears behind him as a few quiet people leave through the doors. Daniel pulls out his microphone again, panting after chasing Endri around all night.
"Finally...so Endri, what did you think of the show?"
Endri takes off his sunglasses and burns a hole in Daniel.
"You really want to know? Fine. I'll do a promo right now. Stand back."
He shoves Daniel out of the camera's view as Endri faces the camera.
"Dëngla. That's what I thought of Millennium Pro Wrestling. Dëngla. Not even worth my time. That wasn't a wrestling show, that was a circus. Then again I should have expected this, considering what this country has done to what should be treated as a competitive and dignified sport. All I saw tonight were unimportant people in fancy dress, fat people whining like children, clowns handing out worthless trophies and pitiful excuses of wrestlers. But above all else was there ringleader."
Endri snarls at the thought of his opponent.
"Johnny Clash, the man that calls himself the champion of this...this performance! He is not a wrestler, he is a joke just like the rest of those talentless hicks. MPW World Heavyweight Champion? It means nothing. It is a bigger joke than that pathetic little child Dynamo Crunch. I came here to the United States for a challenge, but so far all I've been faced with are a bunch of jokes. Natyrisht unë duhet të ketë pritur këtë. Johnny Clash, when you step in the ring with me, you won't be facing some long-haired hippie who thinks throwing garbage cans and and smacking people with guitars is a form of wrestling. You'll be stepping into the ring with an actual wrestler, the Albanian Dream. Believe me, I am no joke. I will prove to everyone here that your title means nothing, and when I'm through with you, I will then move on and win a title that will actually mean something. I will be the MCCW World Heavyweight Champion, and I will be a champion that not just this country but this entire world can be proud of, not some American sleazeball. Unë jam duke shkuar për të vrarë ty Johnny Clash. Vetëm të presim!"
With that said, Endri shoves the camera out of his face and walks off. As the camera stops rolling we catch one more glimpse of the Albanian Dream walking towards the city lights. He is prepared for a physical battle, but is Johnny Clash?
