Date: December 22, 2012
Venue: Murphy Recreation Center, Philadelphia, PA
Time: 2pm EST
[Strobe lights flood the Murphy Recreation Center as "Warrior" blares throughout the arena. As the music plays, the crowd pops as Shane Young steps onto the stage wearing a suit. He puts his hand against his heart as he soaks in the applause. After a brief moment he marches to the ring, climbing the steps and entering through the ropes. In the ring he holds his hand up showing his gratitude to the appreciative fans before grabbing a microphone. Before speaking he nods his head to the "THANK YOU SHANE!" chant.]
Shane Young: First of all, let me just say that you are all welcome!
[The crowd cheers.]
Shane Young: I didn't expect this kind of reception, and I'm kinda blown away by it, so I should be the one thanking each and every one of you here tonight and each and every one of you watching at home for your support. Without all of you, none of this could have happened, without all of you, we would not be here right now live in Philadelphia!
[The crowd applauds the mention of their hometown as Shane gives them the thumbs up.]
Shane Young: And now, I just want to say...
??: How typical of you Shane!!
[Although the fans are confused at first, Shane instantly recognizes the voice and changes his expression completely. Suddenly the arena echoes with boos as Shawn Stevens emerges from the curtain and stands with a microphone in hand on the stage. Ignoring the jeers from the crowd Shawn begins to speak as he makes his way to the ring.]
Shawn Stevens: How typical of you to suck up to these ignorant Philly fans, the same fans that once threw plastic cups and toilet paper at you only a few years ago, just as you decide to host your own wrestling show in what I can only call a disgusting wreck of a gymnasium, probably so you can just put a bit of cash in your empty pockets.
[At this point the fans are fuming as Shawn enters the ring.]
Shawn Stevens: I've known you for many years now, and I've got to say that I am the least bit surprised. You never really could get the crowd behind you, and so what do you do? You decide to surround yourself with a bunch of uneducated buffoons, kiss these stupid people's asses and give them a pointless show full of worthless talent, and then take all the gratitude for yourself! Well I'm not buying into your petty little game.
Shane Young: You know something Shawn? You and I go way back. We've been friends and we've been enemies. We've had wars with as well as against each other. But after all these years, I've realized that nothing about you as changed. You're still the same cocky little prick that thinks he's better than everyone else! Now get the hell out of my ring!
[The crowd cheers, but Shawn refuses to leave.]
Shawn Stevens: There you go again! Get the hell out of MY ring? So it's your ring now is it? All these fickle people came to see you did they?
Shane Young: No. These people came to see a wrestling show, and by god, I'm gonna give it to them!
[As the crowd cheers, Shawn sniggers until Shane gets right up into his face.]
Shane Young: You see Shawn, this is my ring, and you know why? Because I'm the guy that founded this promotion to show our appreciation for the fans that actually appreciate the sport of professional wrestling! These fans did not come here to see the guy in charge, these fans came here to watch some quality wrestling, not some sniveling little weasel trying to run his mouth off! Don't you dare insult these fans, because without these fans, I would not be standing in this ring right now! Now I'm not asking you, I'm demanding you, get the hell out of my ring now!!
[Shawn suddenly seems a little edgy as the crowd cheers loudly. He begins to back up towards the ropes as Shane stands assertively in the middle of the ring.]
Shawn Stevens: Actually no...
[Suddenly Shawn musters the courage to stand up to his old foe.]
Shawn Stevens: ...I will not. And don't you dare talk to me like that! Do you have any idea who I am? I am the Destroyer! Canada's Greatest Export! And as far as I'm concerned, I'm not leaving this ring!
[The crowd boos before Shane steps up once again.]
Shane Young: You know what Shawn? That's fine. But here's an idea. If you insist on staying here tonight, then why not step back into the ring for a match against me!?
[The crowd erupts as both men stare eye to eye with each other. Both men look like they want to kill each other.]
Shawn Austin: Fine. You're on!
Shane Young: Good, now get out before I kick your head off!!
[Shawn finally steps out of the ring, not taking his eyes off Shane. As Shawn leaves, Shane returns his attention to the fans in attendance.]
Shane Young: Now as I was saying... WELCOME TO MASTER CLASS CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING!!!!
[The crowd erupts as "Warrior" plays again. Shane bows to the fans as they chant "THANK YOU SHANE!" As Shane leaves the ring the camera jumps to a shot of the announce table at ringside.]
Harold Jenkins: The cameras are rolling, the Murphy Recreation Center is jam packed and the fans are ready for what will be an exciting show. Hello everyone, I'm Harold Jenkins and thank you so much for tuning into our debut show Premature Beginnings, streaming live on our website right now! And what a main event we have for you folks. Just announced, the legendary Shane Young will be coming out of retirement and lacing up his boots one more time against his old rival Shawn Stevens. We've also got four qualifying matches for our World championship tournament featuring some top stars of the industry today, including what many are considering to be a dream match between the MPW World champion Johnny Clash and the Hardcore Reject Kuk Killswitch! But right now, let's head to the ring for our opening contest. Take it away Reed Smith!
Opening Event
vs
Reed Smith: Ladies and gentlemen, our opening contest is a World Championship Tournament Quarter-Final, scheduled for one fall!
[As his music hits, Scott Kenneth immediately marches to the ring, looking intensely into the ring.]
Reed Smith: Introducing first, hailing from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Weighing in tonight at two hundred and eight pounds, please welcome... SCOTT KENNETH!!
Harold Jenkins: And what a way to open our first show with our first look at the young protégé of the legendary Shane Young. This kid has looked impressive from what I've seen, but tonight he'll be making his official in-ring debut in a wrestling ring after years of tutelage from Kix himself. He has a very competitive spirit and he looks to impress in his first match here tonight!
[He climbs the steps and hops over the top rope. He then jumps onto the turnbuckle with one foot on the top rope and stares into the crowd. After a moment he jumps off and starts pacing back and forth in the ring awaiting his opponent.]
[As soon as the intro of his theme begins, the fans immediately jeer. Taufik steps out of the curtain looking at the fans in disgust, with Jamal Abdul right behind him, before spitting onto the floor signifying the 'dirty' soils in America. He makes his way to the ring while he and Jamal exchange words with the fans.]
Reed Smith: And introducing his opponent, accompanied to the ring by Jamal Abdul, and hailing from Singapore. Weighing in tonight at two hundred and fifty pounds, he is the Franchise... TAUFIK!!
Harold Jenkins: But what a challenge for the young kid making his debut tonight. He must take on the two hundred and fifty pound suplex machine, Taufik. And as if that wasn't hard enough, he must also deal with his conniving associate Jamal Abdul at ringside. Let's hope that he keeps his nose out of what will surely be a great match for both athletes!
[When Taufik reaches the steps, he raises both of his hands high up while passionately chanting Allah before climbing the stairs and entering the ring, followed shortly behind by Jamal. Inside the ring, he looks out to the fans while Jamal exchanges words with Scott Kenneth, who is waiting impatiently in his corner. Taufik then turns his attention to Scott, leering at him in disgust.]
Harold Jenkins: You can sense a bit of tension between these two athletes. The crowd in attendance are firmly behind the rookie in this match, and let's not forget. This is one of four quarter final rounds tonight for the MCCW World championship tournament. The winner of this match will advance to the semi-finals on our next show with the hope of qualifying for our first MCCW World heavyweight championship match to be held on our first Internet pay-per-view Inception in a month's time. Now I've got that cleared, you can hear the bell ring, and we are underway!
[As the bell rings the two men circle each other in the ring. Jamal tries to distract Scott on the apron, and Scott and Jamal exchange words as Taufik charges from behind, but at the last minute Scott ducks and Taufik accidentally hits Jamal off the apron. Taufik turns around and receives three low kicks to the side of the leg. Scott turns around but before he could charge towards the opposite ropes Taufik grabs a handful of tights and pulls him back towards him. He throws him over looking for a back suplex, but Scott lands on the apron. Taufik turns around and gets a forearm to the face. As Taufik steps back Scott leaps onto the top rope and springs at his opponent with a springboard dropkick, knocking him onto his back. Taufik is forced to retreat under the bottom rope as Scott stands firmly in the middle of the ring.]
Harold Jenkins: What a quick burst of energy from the rookie, and these fans are right behind him as we can see Taufik and Jamal discussing some kind of game plan outside the ring. Wait a minute...
[Scott bounces off the ropes looking for a suicide dive but he puts on the brakes as Taufik sees him coming and runs out of the way. Taufik makes use of the referee's count and slowly enters the ring again just before the count of ten. Scott allows him to enter the ring and the two circle each other again. Scott goes for a middle kick but Taufik catches his leg. He spins him around and knocks him down with a lariat. On the mat Taufik locks in an armbar. We can see Scott waving the referee off refusing to give up as Taufik wrenches the arm. Eventually Scott manages to get back to his feet but Taufik sends him back down with an arm drag before locking the armbar in much tighter this time.]
Harold Jenkins: It seems that Taufik has found a weakness in this young upstart and is now targeting it. There's a reason why he is a former TV champion as well as one half of the current MPW tag team champions. This man means serious business.
[With the lock still applied Scott manages to get back to his feet, trying desperately to fight out of it, but instead Taufik catches him and launches him overhead with a three-quarter nelson suplex. He goes for the pin but Scott pushes Taufik off before the two count. With his opponent mounted on the mat Taufik holds him steady and locks in a stepover armlock camel clutch.]
Harold Jenkins: Taufik really applying the pressure on Scott Kenneth, he is firmly in control.
[But Scott is too close to the ropes and manages to grab the bottom rope with his free hand. Taufik holds on to the hold before the five count. He steps back and distracts the referee long enough for Jamal to grab Scott by the back of the neck and choke him on the top rope.]
Harold Jenkins: Oh come on ref! Taufik's follower sticking his nose in where it doesn't belong! This is not the kind of behavior we want here in MCCW!
[Taufik drags Scott back to the center of the ring and drops down locking in a Fujiwara armbar. The referee asks Scott if he gives up but he refuses. Again he manages to pull himself to the ropes where Taufik is forced to release the hold. This time Jamal doesn't interfere, and Taufik allows Scott to get back to his feet, almost mocking him. When he does Taufik hooks his arm, picks him up and drops him down with a perfect vertical suplex. He goes for the cover but Scott kicks out after two, and in response Taufik grabs the head and locks in a sleeper hold.]
Harold Jenkins: This poor kid doesn't seem to be getting any offense, as you can see Taufik looking like he's actually enjoying this mutilation!
[Scott looks like he's going to pass out, but suddenly the crowd starts stomping their feet and clapping their hands trying to get Scott back into the match. Scott comes to life and climbs to his feet. He elbows Taufik in the gut three times to free himself. He tries to run off but Taufik grabs him by the tights again, pulling him back locks in a waistlock. Before he can follow up Scott elbows Taufik in the back of the head, making him release the hold and darts off the ropes. As he bounces back he ducks a clothesline attempt, bounces off the opposite ropes and knocks Taufik down with a spinning wheel kick. Taufik rolls towards the corner as Scott gets back to his feet pumping his fist and getting the crowd behind him.]
Harold Jenkins: Scott Kenneth has suddenly come back to life with a wicked spinning wheel kick!
[Taufik stumbles to his feet in the corner, but as he does Scott approaches him and gives him a stiff shoot kick to the chest, and then another. He gives a third and then gives him an entire series of repeated kicks before stepping back and unleashing a primal roar. The crowd cheer him on as he charges towards his opponent, but Taufik manages to kick Scott in the knee just in time, sending him back down to the mat. Seizing the opportunity Taufik turns around and starts to climb the turnbuckle, possibly for the diving moonsault, but as he does Scott gets back up and trips him up, perching him on the top of the turnbuckle. To follow up Scott springs off the middle rope and smacks Taufik in the back of the head with a springboard superkick, sending him tumbling to the outside.]
Harold Jenkins: Oh my! What a kick from Scott Kenneth, and Taufik comes crashing to the outside! Scott demonstrating the skills passed down to him by the legendary Shane Young with the velocity and versatility of those kicks!
[Taufik uses the guard rail to pull himself back to his feet. Meanwhile inside the ring Scott Kenneth prepares for take-off as he bounces off the opposite ropes and charges, diving through the top and middle ropes and flying onto his opponent and crashing over the guard rail. Every fan in attendance get to their feet in disbelief as Scott quickly stumbles back to his feet, apologizes to the fans that he just landed on and jumps onto the guard rail. The fans give a loud cheer showing their appreciation as Scott looks out into the crowd intensely.]
Harold Jenkins: Scott Kenneth sacrificing himself with that suicide dive. He hit Taufik but with such momentum he went even further and landed right in the front row! To quote an old friend, I guess it's take a rookie night here in Philadelphia this evening!
[Finally Scott rolls Taufik back into the ring before the ten count and hooks the leg, but Taufik kicks out after two. As he scoops Taufik back to his feet Scott gives a cut throat motion and locks a double underhook on his opponent, possibly looking for the Michinoku Driver. But Taufik puts on the brakes and struggles out of it. In response Scott tries to kick him in the chest again, but Taufik catches him again, this time locking in an anklelock. With the anklelock applied Scott screams in pain, but eventually manages to get to the ropes. Instead though he uses the ropes to pull himself back to a standing position, but before he can capitalize Taufik suddenly pulls his leg up and holds him before throwing him overhead with a capture suplex. Taufik goes for a pin.]
Referee: One...Two...Thr...
Harold Jenkins: No! Scott kicks out before the three count! Scott is determined not to lose his debut match!
[Taufik tries to pull Scott back to his feet, but when he does Scott suddenly shoves him off and connects with a Shuffle Sidekick to the face. Taufik stays on his feet as Scott connects with a second Shuffle Sidekick, this time knocking him to one knee. Scott roars as he swings, but Taufik ducks under the Buzzsaw Kick attempt, grabs Scott from behind and throws him over with a German suplex. Scott rolls back to his feet, but Taufik grabs him again and throws him overhead with a belly-to-belly suplex. Scott gets straight back to his feet again, but Taufik grabs him again, this time launching him onto his neck with a TaufikPlex. But again Scott gets straight back to his feet, this time before Taufik. The crowd is in disbelief as Scott measures him up and connects with a Spinning Side Kick. But Taufik stays on his feet, unleashes a primal roar of his own and smacks Scott right down with the Surprise!!!]
Harold Jenkins: What an exchange!! Taufik looks indestructible!! And here's the pin!
Referee: One...Two...Thre...
Harold Jenkins: NO!! Scott Kenneth just kicked out of the Surprise!!! And Taufik can't believe it!
[Taufik looks shocked, and so does Jamal who is screaming in frustration outside the ring. Regaining his composure Taufik motions that he intends to finish it as he scoops Scott back to his feet. He measures him up looking for another Surprise!!! But Scott catches his foot, throws it back down to the mat and kicks Taufik right in the gut. In a single motion he manages to lock in a double underhook, lift him up and plant him on the mat. The fans are on their feet as Scott goes for the pin.]
Harold Jenkins: The Michinoku Driver connects. He's going for the pin, but what is Jamal doing!?
[Jamal is on the apron distracting the referee. Scott sees this and charges towards him, knocking him off the apron. But this distraction is long enough for Taufik to make a recovery as he grabs Scott from behind attempting to lock in May Allah Be With You. Before he can lock it in however, Scott suddenly drops down, sliding out of Taufik's grasp and rolls under his legs. He trips Taufik onto the mat, twists his legs and locks in a Cloverleaf. Taufik is in agony until he finally gives in and taps out.]
Harold Jenkins: That's it! Scott Kenneth gets the win!
Reed Smith: Here is your winner via submission... SCOTT KENNETH!!
[Scott finally releases the hold after realizing what has happened. His hand is raised by the referee as Jamal Abdul rolls the lifeless Taufik out of the ring. The crowd are on their feet in appreciation as Scott regains his senses and climbs to the top of the turnbuckle victoriously.]
Harold Jenkins: What a great debut for young Scott Kenneth, and what a great way to open the show! Scott Kenneth has defied the odds and now he will advance to the World championship tournament semi-finals! But let's not take anything away from Taufik. He gave that young man one heck of a battle and he looked almost unstoppable tonight. But this night belongs to Scott Kenneth. I'm sure he has made his mentor very proud tonight.
[Taufik and Jamal are already out of sight as Scott Kenneth stands in the middle of the ring and bows to the fans who give him a round of applause before he leaves the ring and makes his way towards the stage.]
Harold Jenkins: Ladies and gentlemen, I've just had an update from the back, and our main event tonight between the Destroyer Shawn Stevens and the legendary Shane Young will now be contested in a no disqualifications match! I'm so excited about this match and I hope all of you watching at home will stay tuned for it. But right now, let's roll on with our next match!
Match 2
vs
["Symphony of Destruction" by Megadeth hits and the lights begin to circle around the arena from red to green. After the intro and when the vocals start Mikey Killswitch comes out from the back with an angry look on his face. He stops and looks around before continuing towards the ring.]
Reed Smith: The following contest is a World Championship Tournament Quarter-Final, scheduled for one-fall. Introducing first, hailing from Waco, Texas. Weighing in tonight at two hundred pounds, Mister Hardkore... MIKEY KILLSWITCH!!
Harold Jenkins: The younger brother of Kuk Killswitch making his way to the ring. We will see him in action later on tonight, but right now, his brother Mikey looks to make an impact.
[Mikey is at ringside as he runs and slides into the ring. He stands up and hops up on the ropes between the two turnbuckles and begins screaming at the crowd. He comes back down from the ropes and stands in the corner, awaiting his opponent.]
Harold Jenkins: This young kid says that it is his time to step up and prove to everyone that he is just as good as his brother. And what better opportunity to prove himself than against this man...
["Gold Medalist" plays out across the arena as the lights slowly alternate from red and blue. After the track's short intro, Hunter Maverick steps out from behind the curtain wearing a sleeveless black trench coat with a dripping British flag design on the back. He walks to the end of the stage with his head down and his fists clenched at his sides. He stops and stands there for a moment then suddenly snaps his head up and his arms out to the side with his hands making the "devil horns". Hunter lowers his arms and makes a bee line for the ring.]
Reed Smith: And introducing his opponent, hailing from Blackpool, England. Weighing in tonight at two hundred and ten pounds, he is the Pride of Blackpool... HUNTER MAVERICK!!
Harold Jenkins: Now I've seen this man in the gym, and let me tell you. This guy is intense. A former street fighter, he is dedicated to his training, and he is always studying his opponents. He hardly speaks a word behind the scenes, but he has been looking forward to this contest for a long time. This man is on a quest to restore pride into professional wrestling.
[Hunter runs and slides into the ring, standing up with a slap of the mat. He then leaps onto the second turnbuckle with his foot on the top rope. He repeats the pose from the stage and holds it for a few seconds before jumping down, taking off his coat and handing it to a ringside technician. In his corner, he begins shadowboxing, awaiting the bell.]
Harold Jenkins: He also has that martial arts background, Hunter is a student of Kickboxing. This match is definitely going to be a clash of personalities as we see Mikey burning a hole in his opponent. Remember, whoever comes out on top of this match will take on Scott Kenneth in the World championship tournament semi-finals.
[The bells sounds, and both competitors circle each other in the ring. Hunter attempts a low kick but Mikey dodges. The two lock up in the middle of the ring with a collar-and-elbow tie-up before shoving each other off. They go for it again, but shove each other off again. They go again for the third time, but this time Mikey rocks his opponent with a European uppercut, staggering him into the corner. They hook up in the corner. Referee Lenny Brannon reaches the count of four before they slowly release each other, but while distracted by the referee, Mikey kicks Hunter in the gut.]
Harold Jenkins: No clean break there from Mikey Killswitch...
[Two forearms to the face followed by an Irish whip to the opposite corner, but Hunter rebounds out of the corner and knocks Mikey down with a clothesline. He follows up with another clothesline. He then lifts him up and slams him down hard with a scoop slam. He goes for the pin, but only a two count this time. Hunter locks in a sleeper hold. Mikey tries to fight out of it, climbing back to his feet. He does, throwing Hunter into the ropes and follows up with a big boot to the chest. He then drops down and locks in a dragon sleeper on Hunter.]
Harold Jenkins: Mikey with a submission hold of his own now, demonstrating his in-ring ability.
[Hunter manages to use his knees to kick his opponent in the head and unlock his hold, but Mikey swiftly responds by wrenching Hunter's arm and slamming it onto the mat. As Hunter clutches at his arm in pain, Mikey drop down with a knee to the same arm, focusing his attack on the arm. As Hunter crawls towards the ropes, Mikey grabs his arm and wraps it around the bottom rope, pulling it tightly before the referee counts to five. Mikey steps back mocking the referee before rushing back in and booting Hunter's targeted arm. Hunter rolls to the apron still clutching at his arm and tries to stand up. As he does, Mikey makes his way towards him and attempts to toss him back to the ring, but to no prevail, as Hunter instead counters with a hotshot on the top rope. As Mikey stumbles back, Hunter manages to climb to the top of the turnbuckle, but gets caught off in the pass after a chop to the chest. Mikey then sets his opponent up for the Hypomania, but Hunter slides off the turnbuckle, locks in a waistlock and drops Mikey with a spinning Saito suplex.]
Harold Jenkins: Mikey just spiked his head after that Saito suplex by the Englishman!
[Hunter goes for a pin, but Mikey kicks out after two. Hunter immediately grabs Mikey's raised shoulder and locks in an armbar. Mikey waves his free hand signaling to the referee that he does not give up, but utilizing his position in the ring, he manages to grab the bottom rope with his feet. Hunter is forced to release the hold, but instantly he drags Mikey into the center of the ring by the wrist and locks in the armbar again, but this time Mikey is able to counter, pulling Hunter with a grounded arm drag. Mikey quickly gets back to his feet and attempts a wild swing kick, but Mikey dodges in time and rolls Hunter over with a schoolboy pin attempt.]
Referee: One...Two...Th...
[Hunter kicks out before the three count. Both men climb right back to their feet and Mikey ducks under another clothesline attempt. Mikey then locks in a vertical Full Nelson on Hunter, lifts him up and twists him into a flapjack. Mikey goes for a pin, but Hunter kicks out after two. Mikey scoops his opponent back to his feet, but Hunter shoves him back and charges in with a several low kicks to the side of Mikey's leg. Mikey is rocked into the ropes, and as Hunter screams to get the crowd behind him, he bounces off the opposite ropes and charges, only to be met with a boot to the face. Hunter stays on his feet though and charges again, but this time Mikey sidesteps him, grabs him in a hammerlock and slams his head down on the mat with a wicked headlock driver. He goes for the pin.]
Referee: One...Two...Thr...
Harold Jenkins: No! Hunter Maverick kicks out again! And now Mikey Killswitch is looking for the cross-legged Boston crab...
[He gets it. Hunter is in agony as he struggles to break free from the cross-legged Boston crab. He is inches away from the ropes, but Mikey makes sure that he can't get the ropes by pulling him towards the center of the ring and cinching in the submission hold.]
Harold Jenkins: Look at how bent and twisted his body is, it's gotta be only a matter of time before Hunter gives up, but somehow I don't think that's going to happen. Hunter Maverick seems like the guy that would never quit...but then again, so does Mikey Killswitch! What a match this is, and you can only see it right here in MCCW!
[It takes a lot of effort, but with all his strength, Hunter finally manages to reach the bottom rope, forcing Mikey to relinquish the hold. But at this point, Hunter seems out of it. Mikey slowly stands his opponent up and rebounds off the ropes.]
Harold Jenkins: Looks like he's going to end this right now!
[But out of nowhere, Mikey's lariat attempt is countered with the Sideswipe by Hunter! Both men are lying on their backs in the middle of the ring. The crowd gives a standing ovation as the referee begins the ten count.]
Referee: One...Two...Three...Four...Five...Six...
[Both men are starting to recover. They both roll towards opposite corners of the ring to try and pull themselves up to their feet.]
Harold Jenkins: What an effort! This is an undying will to impress and succeed!
[They both finally stand up and stare each other down. Mikey hits Hunter with an elbow smash, and Hunter hits back with one of his own. Mikey gives him another, and Hunter replies. After exchanging two more shots to each other Mikey begins throwing several forearm shots to his opponent and hooks him for a fisherman suplex attempt. But Hunter hops over his shoulder and grabs Mikey with a waistlock, pushing him towards the ropes. Rebounding off the ropes, Hunter rolls backwards and locks in an O'Connor roll on Mikey, but Mikey kicks out of the pin after two. They both get up, but as Hunter charges forward, Mikey throws him over with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. But to the crowd's surprise, Hunter is up to his feet even before Mikey, pumps his fist and nails Mikey with the Blurry Vision.]
Harold Jenkins: That's the Blurry Vision, and Mikey is stunned! And listen to these fans! They are firmly behind Hunter Maverick! And now it looks like he's calling for it! Here comes the HMS!
[Hunter locks in the front facelock, but before he could lift him up, Mikey clubs Hunter in the gut with a closed fists. Mikey tries to run out of the hold, but is immediately slammed down when Hunter grabs a handful of hair and rams the back of his head onto the mat. He then points to the corner and begins climbing the turnbuckle. But again, Mikey stuns him with a running boot to the side of the head. Mikey then grabs Hunter's head and successfully nails the Hypomania. He goes for the cover.]
Referee: One...Two...Thr...
Harold Jenkins: But the referee sees Hunter's leg on the bottom rope! A mistake on Mikey's part there, he should have been more aware of his ring positioning. And you can see by the look on Mikey's face that he is none too pleased by that call.
[Starting to get frustrated, Mikey rushes outside and shoves the timekeeper out of his chair. He then grabs the chair and slides it into the ring. With the steel chair in hand, he shoves the referee out of his face and attempts to smack it across the skull of his opponent. However before he can, the referee Lenny Brannon rips the chair out of his hands, reminding him that this is not a no disqualifications match. Mikey is furious, but before he can do anything, Hunter rolls him up with a backslide pin attempt. The referee counts, but again, Mikey kicks out just before the count of three.]
Harold Jenkins: Mister Hardkore making a rookie mistake there, almost costing himself the match!
[Signaling for the end, Hunter calls out to the fans. Gaining their support, he locks in a front facelock on Mikey, looking to hit the HMS, but again Mikey blocks the attempt. He twists out of the lock with an arm wrench and ducks in between Hunter's legs, holding on to both of his wrists. He then uses those wrists to pull Hunter off his feet, and in mid-air, Mikey grabs his legs and drops to his rear, spiking Hunter on the back of his head.]
Harold Jenkins: He calls that move the Delusional Illusion, and he just jacked Hunter Maverick right on his head! And here's the cover!
Referee: One...Two...Three!!
Harold Jenkins: He got the win!
Reed Smith: Here is your winner, and advancing to the World championship tournament semi-finals... MIKEY KILLSWITCH!!
Harold Jenkins: An impressive debut for Mister Hardkore!
[The fans are on their feet applauding both men's efforts. Mikey stands up and looks up to the heavens, completely exhausted. He then turns to Hunter, who is slowly getting back up to his feet. Mikey offers to shake his hand, but before Hunter could respond, Mikey kicks him in the groin, and spits in the back of his head before rolling out of the ring. The crowd shower him with boos as he leaves ringside. Hunter watches on from inside the ring, still in pain, cursing his opponent.]
Harold Jenkins: Disgusting. A cheap low blow and then spitting on the back of his head! What total disrespect displayed by Mikey Killswitch. Do you think he did his brother proud there? How disrespectful. But you can tell that we haven't seen the last of these two athletes...
Harold Jenkins: What the hell is this about?
[As the opening riff of "John the Fisherman" echoes across the arena, John Fisherman reveals himself on the stage, wearing a gray suit. He simply stares into the crowd in disdain before making his way down the ramp.]
Reed Smith: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome at this time... JOHN FISHERMAN!!
Harold Jenkins: Well John Fisherman has signed a contract here in MCCW, but he's not scheduled for tonight's event. For those who don't know, John Fisherman is the self-proclaimed king of the world and the epitome of talent. He has been in the independent scene for a number of years before making a name for himself in Millennium Pro Wrestling. But while there he was suspended for use of drugs and came back after nearly three months to announce live that he quits! Let's hope he doesn't do the same thing here tonight!
[At ringside, John stares for a brief moment at a random member of the crowd and shakes his head in disgust. He climbs the stairs and enters the ring through the ropes. Inside the ring and demands Reed Smith to hand over his microphone. He obliges and John stands in the middle of the ring with the microphone at hand as the music stops.]
John Fisherman: For those who do not know who I am, allow me to introduce myself. My name is John Fisherman and I am the greatest face to ever grace the wrestling race. I am the epitome of talent. I am the master of the fisherman suplex, and I am the king of the world!
[The crowd boos as he soaks it in.]
John Fisherman: But more importantly, tonight I am the man who is not even on the card for MCCW's first show! Let me tell you people a little story. You see, I used to compete for a promotion called Millennium Pro Wrestling. When I first joined the company, many people expected great things from me. I was destined to lead that company into super stardom, and I would be the proud face of the entire company, and why? Because I was the best wrestler in the entire company! And so what happened? I was held back. I was held back by promoters who wanted someone else to represent them. I was held back by managers who can't even sort their own personal problems out. And then what happened? I was suspended and taken out of the company for over two months. And when they lifted my suspension early, I thought that it was because they needed me, but then I realized that they only wanted me for the same purpose, to screw me out of everything that I deserve. That's why I quit. I don't need to take that shit from those hypocrites. I am the best wrestler in the world, I am the king of the world, and this king deserves a throne worthy to sit on, and MPW just could not give me a throne worthy enough for me. They were more concerned with barnyard weddings and renaming hardcore matches than treating real talent with the respect that I deserve!
[The fans boo, some of them even holding MPW signs to show their respect for the company.]
John Fisherman: And then I signed up here. Master Class Championship Wrestling. A worthy name for a master of the ring like me, but when I first found out that the company's debut show was going to be held in some dump in Philly, quite frankly I was appalled!
[The crowd give out larger boos, clearly unhappy at the last comment.]
John Fisherman: But what's worse is that they didn't even put in the fucking match card for the show! I haven't even been entered in this stupid World championship tournament! Quite frankly, that is just total disrespect. So that's why I decided to show up here tonight. And I promise you, this won't be the last time you see me tonight. I will be back later, and when I do come back, I will show everyone here why I deserve to be the rightful king of this company! You may not know it yet, but you are looking at the true face of this company, whether you like it or not. Spoiler alert...I'll be back!
[John drops the microphone and jumps out of the ring as the crowd lets him hear it. The fans jeer him on as he leaves ringside.]
Harold Jenkins: Umm...well folks, a few words from John Fisherman there. But will this be the last time we see him tonight? Or will he keep his promise? And if he does, what does he have in store for us? I guess we'll have to find out later. But right now, let's roll on with our next match!
